I know I join many of our class in saying that this is another blow to our hearts- losing Hedda. We ain't getting any younger. And we're getting these sad and alarming notices too often. But in context- seeing how many of our friends, like Hedda, lived a life full of love, happiness and fulfillment with friends and family gives me solace. I'm happy to have followed her and some of you on Facebook where I see posts and photos of joy and sometimes sadness. Feels great to have that connection. And Hedda seems to have had a great life.
I remember having a crush on her and while we flirted I didn't have the confidence to ask her out. Maybe we did go out once. I'd have to ask my biographer, Michael Hertz, what he remembers about that. Anyway, see ya later Hedda- thanks for being YOU!
I totally agree with Michael Hertz that we come together at the reunion with what UNITES us, not what DIVIDES us. Great point and glad he Illuminated that. Politics be damned... at least for our weekend together. We've lived long lives... in part, impacted by our shared experience at PHS and our grammar schools. So much in common. That's the focus. Cant wait to see you. dmc
I loved this guy. He will be missed at the reunion. Just sayin.
So sorry to receive this very sad news. I have fond memories of Elliot and wish him well as he graduates to the next plane. He was a good kid. I assume he was a great man and lived a happy loving life with his family.
I had such a crush on Gail on 7th grade. It was her smile and the white go-go boots. Of course my heart goes out to her family and loved ones. And I send love to all of our classmates at this somber time.
I remember Claudia to be a sweet girl who always had a nice, kind smile as I would tease and make her laugh. I assume that she carried and expanded that sweet quality through her life. My condolences to her family.
So sorry to read about this. Trent was a great guy. He's one of the old gang that I haven't seen in years but who's characteristics stayed in my memory; easy going, kind and funny. I sometimes wondered about him- what profession he chose, family etc.

very nice sentiment you shared re kathi's passing and not waiting for passings to share comments. that impressed me. and.. i search my mind whether you and i knew one another. do you recall?
She rejected my marriage proposal in 4th grade and it was a total bummer. But, hey ya cant win em all.
That's how far back many of us go. Kathi and I stayed in contact through the years. Because she lived less than an hour away, we'd visit. When I had business nearby I would stay at her home and we would reminisce and laugh in to the night. So much in common especially our love for our kids and family. She LOVED her grandkids and knew that when it was my turn it would be the best... and when that happened she was SO happy for me. That's the person she always was- caring, sharing and loving.
Too damn soon. We all are too damn young to leave. We've made it this far. Lets live in a way that honors the fallen among us; with the best qualities of our classmates who have passed. I so often tnink of my great friend Joey DePasquale who was always a 'nice guy', alway with a smile and laugh. I aspire to be like that, and like the loving person like Kathi.
Looking forward to flying in for the 50th when we can all toast Kathi and the others.
Peace out.
