I spent time with the kids in CRMD and remember that Sheldene was a sweet person with a sense of humor and was fun to be around. I thank God that things are changing in the way children with challeges are being evaluated and educated and hopefully the way that they are treated by others. Sheldene was my friend and a doll.
Sheldene just wanted to be one of the girls. Anyone else remember how she loved to dance during that insane rotation of dance in P.E. I can still see her twirling around during "5 o'clock World". What a great memory!
Sheldene was soooooo sweet! She wrote a very nice message in my
year book. She was a joy to be around, and yes.... she wanted to be one of the girls~she would talk to me about what I was wearing, and girly stuff!
My condolences and sympathy to Sheldene's family.
