Ed was wacky and alot of fun, I went on a road trip with him into Canada with a couple of other guys, well we almost didnt make it back into the states and my car was stripped searched. It seems the border guard wanted to know a specific amount of beer we were bringing back which I didnt realize at the time so Ed volunteered the info how the $%#& are we supposed to know when we dont know how much we drank. Also he decided to kick the hubcap of a Montreal PD car while it was moving past us. I thought the PO's finger was going to go through Eds chest. But Ed didnt flinch and took the pounding upon his chest and promised to be good and we were on our way.
Fred, I remember that trip to Canada well. Ed and I kept crossing paths during the 70's and I have countless memories about his antics from those years as well as our HS years. He had a tendency to drive teachers past their breaking point and I remember seeing him being chased down the hallway by a French teacher and under a desk by our Biology teacher. I was saddened to hear of his passing a number of years ago.
